Principal Hardware Architect — Heavy-Chassis UGVs

Lviv, Ukraine (on-site / field) Full-time 8+ years
/01

Mission

Direct the mechanical design of heavy-duty UGVs: suspension, drivetrain, sealed housings, weapon-mount stress points, and thermal management.

You own the physical truth of our heavy ground robots: how they take a hit, climb, carry, and keep running in mud and cold. From suspension and drivetrain geometry to sealed housings, weapon-mount load paths, and heat rejection, you will set the mechanical architecture and prove it with FEA and real abuse testing. You will work shoulder to shoulder with the assembly floor to turn drawings into rugged vehicles that survive contact, and you will iterate on field feedback rather than on a comfortable two-year cadence.

/02

What you bring

  • Degree in Mechanical, Robotics, or Aerospace Engineering
  • Mastery of SolidWorks/Inventor, FEA, and physical prototyping
  • Deep knowledge of hardened alloys, composites, and ballistic plating
  • Experience with gearboxes, high-torque BLDC motors, and IP67 sealing
/03

What you'll own

  • Design structural schematics and modular payloads for UGV chassis
  • Run high-fidelity FEA to verify stress durability
  • Coordinate assembly technicians for tactical deliveries
  • Validate mechanical behavior under environmental stress testing
